Your complete guide to SDA
Are you wanting to get a grip on Specialist Disability Accommodation and it's components?
Have you found lots of the information to be too technical, scattered in different places or delivered in a complex way?
Do you want to see the Design Standards in practice?
Specialist Disability Accommodation legislation is complex and involves a variety of different stakeholders from participants to support coordinators, to builders and developers. For many of us, it can be an overwhelming process to access the latest information in a simple and practical way.
As SDA Assessors and clinical OT’s working with people who have complex disabilities, we have experienced SDA from a variety of different angles. Supporting participants to access SDA funding whilst also working with builders and developers to build suitable accommodation. This meant we were needing to connect two very seperate (but important) parts of SDA together constantly: the SDA Design Standard and the Eligibility Legislation to ensure successful outcomes for everyone involved.
Now we want to share all of our knowledge with you ...
This course is a deep dive into SDA and the various components that make up both the Design Standards and the Eligibility legislation including exclusive footage and tours of a newly-built SDA home with detailed explanations of the standards in practice.
It is a must-have for anyone involved in Specialist Disability Accommodation.
"The SDA online course was really valuable and will definitely assist me in my role as a support coordinator for clients wanting to access SDA in their NDIS Plans. It's a complex subject which this course helped simplify and clarify. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get a good grasp on SDA without feeling overwhelmed."
Liz - Specialist Support Coordinator
"I found OTuition SDA courses very helpful. I am about to embark on my first SDA development project and as I don’t work in the industry, I found the NDIS design standard a little overwhelming. I found this course provided very useful information including videos and images of completed projects and examples or real life scenarios which helped me understand the reasoning behind the specifications included in the SDA design standards."
Amanda - SDA Developer
"OTuition allows support providers the opportunity to receive the most pertinent information around complex NDIS support frameworks.
If you are an Occupational Therapist or Support Coordinator who is supporting clients to apply for SDA, OTuition will provide you with the tools to best support your clients."
